Forest fire budgeting. As part of our Wildfire Action Plan (see A Safer BC), we will budget for wildfire at what it costs and move money upstream towards prevention. This includes active forest management, prescribed and cultural burning, more fuel breaks around communities, predictable FireSmart funding for municipalities and rapid initial attack, with hectares treated reported every year.
