Tracking emissions accurately. We will count emissions where they occur and report BC’s emissions alongside emissions avoided through cleaner BC exports. Gas replacing coal overseas reduces global emissions; moving a BC mill to a dirtier jurisdiction does not. The full value of our forests will be counted in our favour as emissions offsets. BC can be a significant part of the global solution through cleaner energy exports.
